RV Carport Roof Styles

Select from three roof styles: regular, boxed eave, or vertical. We recommend the vertical roof style for its ability to allow snow to slide off easily.

Regular Roof

Regular Roof Carport

The regular roof style has a bow that gives it a unique shape

  • Barn-shaped
  • Rounded design
  • Most cost-effective option

Boxed Eave Roof

Boxed Eave Roof Carport

This A-frame roof style has panels that run from front to back

  • Similar aesthetic to vertical roofs
  • Has horizontally aligned panels

Vertical Roof

Vertical Roof Carport

The vertical roof style is the strongest roof style available

  • Vertical sheeting allows rain and snow to slide off easily

How to Measure Your RV for a Cover

Ensure your covered RV storage has at least 14 feet of clearance and is a minimum of 12 feet wide. If you plan to extend any slide-outs, opt for a carport at least 18 feet wide.

Not sure how much clearance you need? Use our Height Clearance Calculator to find the right fit for your RV.

The most popular sizes for our motorhome covers are 12 by 35 feet, 18 by 35 feet, 12 by 40 feet, and 18 by 40 feet. We recommend measuring your RV before buying a carport to ensure the perfect fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer three roof styles: Regular Style – The most economical option, rounded design with horizontal roof panels. Boxed Eave (A-Frame) – A traditional house like look, horizontal panels. Vertical Roof (A-Frame Vertical) – The most durable option, vertical panels for drainage and harsh weather.

It depends on the model and any upgrades you choose! Many of our carports are rated to 150 mph winds (for short gusts) and we offer upgrades for even stronger wind resistance. If you live in a high wind area we recommend checking local building codes to make sure your carport meets all requirements.

Most of our metal carports can handle 35 pounds of snow per square foot (PSF) and are designed to withstand up to 50 PSF in areas with heavy snowfall. They’re built with your local weather in mind to keep your carport strong and reliable through the winter!

Installation is free! We offer free setup in multiple states. See our Delivery & Installation page to see where we deliver.

Our RV carports are built to last! The frame and base rail is 14-gauge galvanized steel square tubing, 2 1/2″ square for added durability.

Want more strength? You can upgrade to 12-gauge galvanized steel tubing, 2 1/4″ square and a 20 year rust-through warranty.

The roof and side panels are 29-gauge steel sheeting with a baked enamel finish, available in 16 colors to match your style. If you’re in Florida the buildings come with 26-gauge sheeting for extra durability.

Want to see it all come together? Check out our metal building component visualizer to see the materials we use.

Every metal carport and garage comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty from date of installation!
