Every 40 by 48 steel carport comes with 1,872 square feet of covered storage space and measures 40′ wide by 48′ long. They’re fully braced for added strength and are certified for150 mph and 35 PSF. An optional upgrade to 12 ga 150 mph 40 psf is available for those in areas with heavy snowfall.

Florida residents should be sure to select the 170 mph upgrade option when ordering. This is so your 40×48 carport or metal building is constructed in compliance with state code.

Rebar and either mobile home or concrete anchors are used to secure your 40×48 vertical roof metal carport in place during installation. Please ensure the surface of its location is within 3″ of level prior to delivery or installation will not be possible.

Each 40 by 48 vertical roof carport or metal building can be customized in several ways to create the perfect metal garage or carport for your needs. The standard model leaves the sides, gables, and ends open but these can be partially or fully closed for an additional cost. Height can also be adjusted if need be. The 40×48 metal building uses 8′ legs but these can be increased up to 20′ in 2′ increments. Other options include add-ons, such as windows, garage doors, flooring, and more.

There are 16 different color options to choose from for the roof, trim, and sides of your 40 by 48 steel carport.

A deposit of 17% of your order’s total cost will be due upfront. You can use either a check or credit card to make your payment. Additionally, another 50% of the cost will be due when you schedule your delivery. The remaining balance will need to be paid only when your 40×48 metal carport has been installed. Prior to your delivery, we will email you a copy of the order to review and ensure all the details are correct.

Customers will be able to submit a request for blueprint drawings of their 40 x 48 steel building to assist with any building permit requirements. These take approximately 3 to 4 business days to deliver and will be sent by email.
