It’s certified for 150 mph winds and 35 psf of snow and is also fully braced for additional strength. Customers in regions with higher snowfall also have the option of upgrading to 12-gauge tubing that certifies the 40×40 metal carport for 150 mph and 40 psf.
Florida residents should choose the 170 mph upgrade when ordering their 40 by 40 carport or metal building so that it’s built to code.
All of our 40×40 metal carports and buildings are secured using rebar and either mobile home or concrete anchors. The building’s location for installation must be within 3″ of level.
Due to the size and weight of the 40×40 metal buildings, a telescopic forklift able to lift 6,000 pounds and raise to a height 10′ above the building’s legs will need to be present during installation.

Once you place the order for your new 40×40 metal carport or building, a 17% deposit will be due and a copy of the order will be emailed to you for review and approval purposes. The deposit can be made with either a credit card or check. When you schedule a delivery time for your building, you will need to pay 50% of the remaining balance. The final amount won’t need to be paid until your 40 x 40 vertical carport or metal building has been delivered and installed.
Blueprint drawings of your steel building are available upon request for any building permit requirements. These will be delivered by email 3 to 4 business days after you submit your request.
