They’re certified for 150 mph winds and 35 psf of snow and are installed securely in place with either mobile home anchors or concrete anchor bolts. Note that the carport’s location needs to be within 3″ of level to install your structure properly.
Each 12 by 40 vertical-roof metal carport is constructed using 14-gauge 2 ½”x2 ½” square tubing for the framing, but you may upgrade to 12-gauge tubing that features a 20-year rust-through warranty instead.
When customizing a 12×40 metal carport, customers may also choose to partially or fully enclose the sides, gables, and/or ends. This allows our customers to turn a 12×40 vertical roof carport into a fully enclosed garage if they want.
The dimensions for this particular carport afford customers a total of 480 square feet of storage space. However, if you require more vertical space for something like RV storage, the carport’s standard 6′ legs can be raised in 1′ increments up to 16′.
