14 Gauge is the standard tubing used on the framing of the metal buildings, it is 2 1/2″ square tubing.

The optional thicker 12 gauge tubing is 2 1/4″ square tubing.

Framing on the 12 gauge tubing come with a 20 year rust through warranty.

Alan’s Factory Outlet metal carports and metal garages going on cement come standard Certified for 150 mph and 30 psf. The certified carports and metal buildings comes with blue print drawings which are rated for 150 mph wind and 30 psf snow load.

The carports and metal garages going on the ground or asphalt come uncertified and require additional anchors to make them certified so make sure if your carport or garage is going on the ground or asphalt and you want it to be certified to select the certified package for the ground or asphalt which will provide the additional anchors to make it certified for 150 mph and 30 psf. For example if you select ground certified and the carport or metal garage is going on the ground it will come with mobile home anchors to achieve the 150 mph wind rating.

The drawings are usually emailed to you upon your request within approximately 2 to 3 business days after you review and approve and sign your order.

The sides are located on the eave/gutter side of the carport or metal building. The sides on the carports have the square metal tubing running up and down approximately 5′ apart one to the next. An option on the carports is to partially or fully close one or both sides with the 29ga metal sheeting. For example lets say you are getting a 12×21 size carport the first number listed is always the width and the 2nd number is always the length. So on a 12×21 the 12′ is the width and the 21′ is the length/sides.

*You must make sure to add the cost of leg height and cost of closing the sides. Both the leg height and sides closed need to be the same height for this option to apply. This additional cost would change the sides from horizontal to vertical or lap siding.

J-trim is the side trim on both sides. The side trim only applies to the regular style carport or in cases where you are partially enclosing the sides than we can add j-trim or the side trim piece which goes at the bottom and is nice because it takes away the sharp edge of the sheeting.

The gables are that triangle part under the ends of the buildings.

If you close an end, the end includes the gable so you can skip the gable if you close the end. The only time you would add a gable would be if the end is open and you want to close the triangle part on the end and leave it open under the gable.

Keep in mind when you close a gable it will come across at about the leg height you have so you will want to make sure your leg height is tall enough so the bottom of the gable will still allow you to get the items your storing under the metal carport.

White garage doors are the standard color. The barn red, earth brown, pebble beige, pewter gray and evergreen garage doors are available.

If you add an optional single walk in door the walk in doors are only available in white.

When you Close an end it includes the gable so you do not need to close the gable as it is included when you close the end.

If garage door is on the end the leg height needs to be 1′ taller thane the height of the garage door.

If you put the garage door on the side not only is it $100 more do do this since we have to cut out a vertical upright post but also need to add a header at the top of the frame out.

You will also want to remember that if you put the garage door on the side the leg height needs to be 2′ taller than the height of the garage door.

The standard screws are silver colored galvanized screws. Optional colored screws are available for an additional 3% based on the pretax price. If you pick colored screws the colored screws will match the color of the metal sheeting.

Is there a power outlet available within 100 feet to plug into. The reason we ask if you have a power outlet within 100 feet is to plug in our 100 feet extension cord so we can install the carport or metal building.

If there is no power outlet within 100 feet select no power and we will bring a generator at no additional cost.

Select the type of level surface you will provide. The level surface must be provided by the customer and we will install and anchor to the selected surface. The site must be level or no more than 3 to 4 inches off level.

The walk in door can be placed on the end or side and you get to pick the location you want it placed if you add a walk in door.

The windows can be placed on either the side or end and you get to pick the exact placement of the window or windows.

For the Walk in door location lets say if you are looking at the garage doors from the outside of the garage do you want the walk in door on the front end which is the same end as the garage doors, left side, right side or back end?

If looking at the garage doors from the outside of the garage the front end is the end with the garage doors, Left side, right side or the back end which is the end opposite of the garage doors.

If windows are on more than one side or one end than during check out page at the bottom in the notes sections put in the additional locations where the windows will be placed.

Please keep in mind the prices for the carports and steel buildings vary’s from state to state as some of the states have different specs required for their location and the carports and metal garages are delivered and installed in 24 states in the USA. Prices subject to change without notice. Delivery may not be available in all locations.

Free Delivery and Installation in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

It is free delivery and installation for these northern states require that the carports and metal garages are made stronger 4′ on center and fully braced so because of this if you order in these northern states the price will have to be adjusted to reflect these requirements in District of Columbia, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

In Florida it is free delivery and installation but FL requires that they have to be certified for 150 mph so if you order in Florida the price will need to be adjusted to reflect these requirements.

New Jersey requires all carports and metal garages to be certified.

We delivery to most of the locations in Kansas, Texas, New York, Florida but not in every location so if you are located in one of these states put your zip code in on the metal carport or metal garage main page to made sure and we delivery to your location.
